Hostesses at the First Aid Festival in Wroclaw

A first aid town by the Oder

For a few hours Dunikowski Boulevard turned into a first aid town. During the First Aid Festival, organised by the Wroclaw Centre for Social Development and the Water Rescue Service, dozens of stands filled the riverside and residents could see the work of lifeguards, firefighters and paramedics up close. We were there on behalf of Wroclaw Zoo and took care of promoting the garden throughout the whole event.

A mascot costume as a magnet for the youngest

One of our hostesses worked in a promotional mascot costume and she was the one who drew the most attention. She posed for photos with children and adults, handed out sweets and zoo leaflets, and moved around the festival grounds to reach people who had not stopped at the stand itself. Working in a mascot costume looks easy, but it takes stamina and patience, which is why we assign such tasks to people experienced in children’s entertainment.

The Wroclaw Zoo stand – conversations and mini contests

Our second hostess worked at the stand together with a zoo employee. She shared information about Wroclaw Zoo, talked with passers-by and ran mini contests for children. This split of roles works very well: one person pulls people in from the boulevard, the other keeps them at the stand for longer. At family events it is a simple way to increase the number of real conversations about the brand.
